At the Space we value collaboration in order to work with other organisations who share our values, in order to pool resources and expertise. The Space aims to partner with other organisations who are already based on the Elsinge estate, as well as enabling those who do not currently do so. The Space also aims to use and work with local businesses and artists as much as possible. Detailed below are some of the organisation we are already partnered with, if you are an organisation who is interested in partnering with The Space then please check out the ‘partner with us page’ for more information.
MHA Enfield Live at home scheme
The Enfield Live at Home scheme aim to enable older people to maintain their independence and live more fulfilled lives. Normally they run lunch clubs and a variety of activity groups across Enfield helping to tackle loneliness and isolation in people over 55 years old. Due to Covid 19 they have had to temporarily suspend these activities but when possible, they will be starting them up again. Currently their main focus is on assisting with shopping and befriending people over the phone. You can find out more information on their website https://www.mha.org.uk/live-home/live-home-near-me/enfield/#your_home or through contacting them on 02083674137 or Enfield.LiveatHome@mha.org.uk In the future we hope to build our partnership with them and create a lunch club or activity group at The Space.
Enfield Methodist Circuit
The Space is part of Enfield Methodist circuit which also contains eight churches through Enfield. More information about the virtual services which are currently taking place, and the services and activities which normally take place in these services is found on the Enfield Methodist circuit website – https://enfieldmethodistcircuit.co.uk/
Niburu London
Niburu London is currently running the Switch project promoting intergenerational community involvement through media, music, wellbeing, and fitness. During February half term 2020 they ran a fitness and sports session for us, and they hope to run more sessions at The Space in the future. Currently they are releasing different fitness and wellbeing videos for people to access at home. These videos and more information about them can be found on their website – https://www.niburulondon.com/ and Facebook page.
Street Space
During August and September 2019 two community researchers from Street Space worked with us to make connections with residents of The Elsinge estate, finding out what people would like to see happen at The Space and helping to engage a variety of people in the project. More information about other projects they are involved in can be found on their website – https://www.wearestreetspace.org/projects.html
