The values of The Space

Celebration, fun and enjoyment should be a large part of all that happens at The Space, in national and religious festivals, small family gatherings and community activities. The Space aims to have a variety of activities, groups and programmes which encourage and develop physical health, mental health and self-esteem.
The Space aims to be a place for Elsinge estate ran by people from Elsinge estate.Working with other organisations on Elsinge estate that share our values because we recognise the experience, knowledge and connections which are already available in the community.
The Space will be a place of welcome and respect for all people of any faith or none. There will be a place within The Space for prayer and meditation, for discussion and debate. Festivals important to different faith traditions will be celebrated where appropriate.Recognising that throughout life people go through different challenges, the Space will seek to help and support people where needed. This will mean meeting people where they are, rather than having expectations on where they should be, and being empathetic rather than judgemental. This will also include practical help in finding ways to reduce poverty, assist with housing problems and care for the elderly.
The Space is a place: Of innovation where new ideas can be tried and tested where people can express themselves in creative ways that cherishes processes, ideas and thoughts as much as (or more than) the final productEveryone who shares our values is welcome at The Space
