While the overall management of the building and finances of The Space will be in the hands of a trustee body, the day to day running of the Space will be managed by a group of people drawn from its membership who will make decisions about the programmes and activities, and receive and act upon suggestions and complaints.
This trustee body is The Space development committee. This is a group of people who are appointed by the Enfield Methodist circuit meeting, as representatives of the circuit meeting. This group is made up of representatives from across the Enfield Methodist circuit.
The roles of the development committee include:
- Financial trusteeship of the buildings
- Responsible for building requirements
- Overseeing the development of the new building
We are currently in the process of developing The Space project committee. This group will be comprised of both members of the Enfield Methodist circuit meeting and local residents.
The roles of the project committee will include:
- Upholding a vision for the use of The Space
- Developing local partnerships
- To be responsible for the use of the current building – including deciding on the groups, activities and events to take place
